My name is Laura. Accessibility has always been a fundamental principle of usability for me, right from my start as a UX designer. Now as Chief Research Officer of Hope Tech Plus in Austria, I understand accessibility as a tool to achieve inclusion on a societal level.
My current focus as a UX researcher is on low vision, stigma in the context of disabilities, and usability of assistive technology.
Wherever I go, I strive to leave a trail of accessibility and understanding of the need for inclusion. This is why I joined forces with Accessibility First, a knowledge-sharing project aimed at industry professionals, started my newsletter A11y News, and became a member of the VĂ–SI special interest group Accessibility in ICT.
