learning through fun: Portfolio projects

Here you will find a collection of my portfolio projects. At first, I wanted to learn design thinking and prototyping in Figma and Adobe XD. They also taught me, what I tend to overlook and need to look out for in my work.

work in progress for a sustainable coffee take-away app: On a black wood table, an open sketchbook with design drafts and pens lies next to a glass of cold brew

Coffee is not the most sustainable product by itself. But "design an app for your favorite café.” is one of the most common design project prompts. So in this work-in-progress case study, I want to explore solutions for waste reduction in the ecosystem surrounding to-go coffee.

How might we combine the convenience of in-app coffee oders with our reusable to-go cups and tumblers?

Case studies

case study to a fitness app for people with low vision

While there are already plenty of fitness apps in the WWW, most focus on losing weight instead of promoting overall health and fitness. Therefore most apps cater almost exclusively  to able-bodied people.

In my most recent project, I focused on visually impaired users who wish to improve their fitness.

A museum audio guide app that allows users to choose what they listen to based on their own interests. This also allows them to customize the museum tour to their liking.

prior projects

SHIRABE was my first volunteer work experience as a UX designer.

As this project has not gone live as of now, I cannot reveal any designs. However, I'd like to mention the experience I gained designing together as part of a team.

In regular meetings, we brainstormed and discussed topics such as brand identity, which platforms would be used, and how to promote client loyalty. Website design took place in separate one-on-one sessions, while design critiques were part of our weekly meeting agenda. All team members brought a different background to the table, which allowed me to gain insights into visual design, artistic direction, logotype design, and project management.
